On Zealand, Møn and Lolland-Falster, you can experience lots of exciting collections of historical means of transportation. For instance, you can see one of Europe’s largest collections of veteran cars at Aalholm Automobil Museum, Denmark’s longest museum Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum and all the amazing tractors at Danmarks Traktormuseum.

Vestsjællands Car Museum shows you something of the days when you could see your reflection in the chrome and paint. You can see the 140 cars, veteran scooters and motorcycles as well as lots of model cars. Remember to look up to the ceiling, where a unique collection of hand-made model aircraft hovers above the entire collection. Read more about Vestsjællands Car Museum 

Danmarks Traktormuseum is set out in an attractive factory building and houses about 200 tractors and engines from 1880 to 1960. Here, for example, you can see a fascinating collection of Bukh motors, the Holeby motor from 1898 and a fantastic locomobile from 1880. See also the techno collection of model cars and tractors as well as other model tractors.

Stubbekøbing Motorcycle- and Radio Museum is Northern Europe’s largest collection of motor cycles with more than 150 fascinating specimens. See also the superb collection of rare radios, gramophones, TVs, etc.

Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum
is the longest museum in Denmark. Here you can observe trams from Denmark’s main provincial towns as well as numerous trams from other countries. Be sure to take a ride on the old trams on the museum tracks and listen to narratives at each tram stop. The Maribo–Bandholm Museum Track is Denmark’s oldest veteran railway with attractions including the oldest running steam locomotive. Get on at Maribo and enjoy the journey past the three old tram stops, Grimstrupvej, Maglemer and Merritskov, to the terminus near Bandholm.
