For the second time the Medieval Centre opens its doors to a Christmas market in the old trading town of Sundkøbing, est. 1400 AD. Visit the beautiful houses and enjoy the smell of rice pudding, mulled wine and Christmas spices as they spread throughout town. The Golden Swan (Den Gyldne Svane) serves traditional Christmas food every day throughout the festive season, accompanied by a frothing pint of beer, of course.

All the lights are lit as the village invites everyone to join in the yearly Christmas market in the co-operative village of Nyvang. Everywhere stalls are open with handcrafted knitwear and there is plenty of opportunities to buy Christmas goods, presents and Christmas sweets. At ‘Husmandsstedet’ the read stories while Mrs. Blue twirls on the wood-fired stove. According to tradition, there is music and dancing around the Christmas tree.

Come and experience 120.000 candles in the gardens in Christmas garb. See the fascinating variety of stalls in tents and barns which, along with the big shop and café all decked out for Christmas, provide a cosy Christmas atmosphere for all the family. You can buy traditional Danish Christmas food in the café.

Come and experience a very special Christmas Market surrounded by the old houses at the Open Air Museum in Maribo. It will be possible to find that perfect gift, the Christmas decorations, Christmas candy, Christmas tree and a good deal more. To create a special setting the exhibition will this year be held in the old houses in the town. When all the shopping is done, go for a free open horse drawn carriage ride, a portion of rice pudding the Danish way or some pancakes and mulled wine that will be on sale at the Garden House. It is above and beyond likely that you will meet the Christmas elf who will for this particular day bring sweet for the nice boys and girls. And what's more free access to the open air Museum during the Christmas market day.

Visit the Christmas market at the Viking castle Trelleborg where you can experience a Christmas market in true Viking style. Outdoors there will be a Heathens Christmas market including horse cart driving and a pancake wagon.
Indoor it will be possible to meet potters, weavers and arrow makers…
