Zealand, Møn and Lolland-Falster have lots of delightful bathing beaches. In 2006, Gudmindrup Strand at Odsherred on Zealand was selected by readers of the newspaper Jyllandsposten as the best in Denmark, but when you're on holiday in Eastern Denmark, you're never far from a beautiful bathing beach. Tips for good bathing on our 2,000 km of coastline
Our waters are first rate for bathing and almost all our beaches have the Blue Flag, which means clean water for bathing - but remember these tips for enjoyable bathing!
• Never bathe alone
• Keep an eye on children bathing
• Do not bathe near estuaries or sewage outlets
• Watch out for offshore wind and undercurrents
• Never swim out after things that are drifting out to sea
• Be sure to drink plenty of liquids when it's hot
