At Danmarks Borgcenter (castle centre), you can see the remains of Valdemar the Great’s impressive fortifications and the more recent Gåsetårn (“Goose Tower”).
Take the trip to the top of the Goose Tower and enjoy the fantastic views of Vordingborg and the harbour. You can also experience Denmark’s oldest botanic garden and let the kids mint coins or write with a quill as people did in the Middle Ages.

Tadre Watermill is the only remaining working mill of the once so many mills in the valley of Elverdamsdal. There are references to the mill from 1405 and today it is operated as a museum and nature centre. Here you can observe the watermill grinding flour, see the fascinating medicinal plant and herb garden and say hello to all the livestock. There is also a nature camp and visitor service.

Maribo Open-Air Museum provides an insight into Lolland-Falster’s agrarian culture and building customs around the year 1800. Observe the old houses, the farmhouse and the post mill. Take a walk in the gardens where you will find medicinal plants, vegetables, roses and many other plants. You can also see the 10-tonne locomobile that was once used for ploughing.

Kjøge Miniby and observe the historical model of Køge in the year 1865 on a scale of 1:10. See the nearby mini-harbour, where a yacht from 1794 was the first vessel to be launched. Also visit the workshops where the houses are constructed.
